A lot of fans are asking this exact question! When Will The First Phillies Playoff Game Be? Well we have some details for you to get ready for RED OCTOBER 2024 edition! Something this year is a bit different from the last two years the Philadelphia Phillies made it to the playoffs!

Phillies Playoff Game Happening Soon!
The Phillies have won the National East Division and, if all things hold, they will be granted a first round bye in the playoffs, avoiding the Wild Card Round that they had to battle through the last two seasons!

What does this mean? Well three Wild Card teams from each league, National and American, will start the playoffs by playing the division winner with the worst record. The other two division winners (with the two best records) will be given a bye for the first round. They will play the winners from the Wild Card Round.
When Will The Phillies First Playoff Game Be?
It looks that on Saturday, October 5th, the Philadelphia Phillies will play in their first playoff game in the National League Division Series. They will take on the winner from the Wild Card Round but since they will have a better record, they will host the first two games!
Game Two of that series will take place the following day, time pending, Sunday, October 6th. If necessary, they will also host Game Five of the National League Division Series at home on Friday, October 11th. That is if the series is not over by then and the Phillies are already on their way to the National League Championship Series!
Just watching these guys celebrating, gets us really excited for another RED OCTOBER!
