Luke Bryan Lives A Life Worth Writing About
Luke Bryan reflects on the importance of living a life full of experiences worth writing an album about. He shared how his time off-stage is spent outdoors—whether it’s working on his farm, organizing his fishing gear, or preparing for the next hunting trip.
Luke told us, “I rarely just lay inside on the couch and watch a day of football or sports. I mean, my thing is when I’m at home, I’m riding around the farm, I’m working on boats, I’m organizing my tackle shop, I’m getting ready for the next hunting or fishing trip or messing with my golf clubs. And then I got boys standing there with me the whole time, relining fishing reels. As long as I can be at home, you know. Yeah, I mean, when I moved to Nashville, my dad goes, make sure you don’t forget about your hobbies and what you love, and I never have.”
He continued, “There are times that I work hard and don’t get a chance to go on a hunting trip or a fishing trip or something like that. But now I’m a little bit older and can start being a little more stingy with my time, with being at home with the family and the kids and going, doing stuff in the outdoors, whether my children are with me or not, or running down playing a little 18 holes of golf in the morning, then coming back to the house and cooking dinner.”
The country superstar concluded, “You gotta keep living a full life of inspirational things. And I’m always knocking around the farm, relining fishing reels, getting bows and stuff packed for my next bow hunting trip. So just… Staying busy and hopefully living gives you more ideas.”
RELATED: Luke Bryan Talks About Touring and American Idol
Bryan is one of the busiest and hardest-working guys in Nashville today. Even though Luke is at the top of his game, he still takes the time to do interviews and promote and work hard, whether it’s American Idol on TV, hitting the road on his big tours that he has every year, or making new music, Bryan finds a way to make it all happen and still be a family man that’s present in his family’s life.
Luke told us, “Getting home and decompressing and being a husband and a father of all these boys, it’s just like I’ll leave right after here, you know, the boys wanna grill out, so I’m gonna be rushing home to grill out, and watch the sunset.”
The country star concluded, “The bottom line is I’m still happy doing all this. I’m not walking around wishing things were a different way and depressed about this decision and that decision. I’m really at peace with everything, every decision up to this point.”
