If you follow Carly Pearce on social media, then you know she loves to dress up her two little dogs, Johnny and June, in little outfits. But Carly also has two other pets, a rescue dog named ‘Retta Lynn and a cat named Emmylou. We figured Johnny and June would have some sort of Halloween costumes, but we wondered if all of Carly’s pets would be dressing up this year, and if so, does she have any ideas of what they will all be?

Carly told us, “Oh gosh, of course they are. I got Johnny, June, ‘Retta Lynn, and Emmylou. So we’re gonna have like … maybe they’ll just be different versions of each other, the Opry members.”

It was on August 3, 2021, that Trisha Yearwood inducted her as the latest member of the Grand Ole Opry. Carly does the famous radio show, which now is on TV as well, as much as she can when she’s not touring making music or appearances.

Country music icon Dolly Parton actually asked Pearce to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry at her Dollywood theme park. Carly, who used to work at Dollywood thought she was there just for routine interviews about working at Dollywood and becoming a country star when Parton surprised her with the invitation.

Dolly has been a member of the Opry for over 50 years.

Pearce recently unveiled the official music video for her single “Truck on Fire” from her critically acclaimed fourth studio album Hummingbird and the video has some spice to it.

The music video transports the viewer to a small town and sees Carly live out a classic revenge fantasy, taking matters into her own hands by torching the beloved truck of a cheating ex. Directed by Carly’s longtime collaborator Alexa Campbell, “Truck on Fire” is her first official music video to be released since she won the CMT Award for Collaborative Video of the Year in April for her GRAMMY-nominated single "We Don’t Fight Anymore" featuring Chris Stapleton.

The country star told us of the song, "No one wants to be cheated on, but everyone wants to seek revenge. I wrote this song for every girl who has gone through a similar situation and dreams of wreaking havoc on her ex."

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
