Carly Pearce has achieved a lot of bucket list moments and experienced a lot of success while chasing her dream of being a country music singer, including becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry, winning the CMA and ACM Female Vocalist of the Year Awards, having multiple #1 songs and even headlining her own tours.

So, it’s no wonder there are a lot of young girls who are just starting to chase their dreams or just beginning their careers in country music who look up to Carly the way she looks up to people like Reba and Loretta, and Dolly, which kind of blows her mind.

“I know and that in itself is wild because I know that there were girls for me, even when I moved to Nashville, that I was so struck by wanting so badly to get to a place where I was like them. And now I have girls that are maybe on radio tour or on their first single that say that I inspire them, and you’re just like, ‘huh?’”

Carly Pearce: Her Next Collaboration

Carly Pearce has had a lot of successful collaborations over the years: her song "I Hope You're Happy Now" with Lee Brice, "Never Wanted To Be That Girl" with Ashley McBride and "We Don't Fight Anymore" with Chris Stapleton to name a few. Her next one sees her going outside of the country music format.

And now, Pearce is doing a Christmas duet with Michael Bublé, who is currently a coach on NBC's The Voice. The new duet is called "Maybe This Christmas," and both Carly and Bublé posted to Instagram about the song.

They wrote in a joint post, "Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them. This collab fell into place so seamlessly it feels like fate had a hand in it. We’re so proud of this song! We hope you love it as much as we do."

Buble, of course, is a seasoned vet when it comes to Christmas music: he has released several Christmas albums over the years. As of January 2022, Buble's most successful album, Michael Buble Christmas, has sold more than 16 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century and one of the best-selling Christmas albums worldwide.

Brian has been working in pop culture and media for about three decades: he’s worked at MTV, VH1, SiriusXM, CBS and Loudwire. Besides working as a writer and an editor-in-chief, he’s also appeared on air as a pundit, guested on radio shows and hosted podcasts. Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
