Meet Chestnut: A Dachshund Celebrating 20 Years!
Tricia, a member of the Summers Squad, is celebrating her dog’s 20th birthday this March and she wants you to know all about her adorable dachshund.
Meet Chestnut
“Chestnut is a purebred dachshund who has lived an incredibly inspirational life. Nearly Four years ago, she faced the heartbreak of losing her human mom. Since then, she has overcome immense challenges, including surviving a dog attack, battling pneumonia twice, and managing two heart conditions along with Cushing’s disease. Deposit it all, Chestnut has proven herself a true warrior.
Now living with her human sister’s family, Chestnut has embraced her new life with two dog siblings – whom she effortlessly bosses around! She spends her days taking joyful laps around the house, napping in her pick of cozy beds, and savoring countless meals. Her strength, resilience, and determination have been nothing short of inspiring, and we are so grateful to have her with us to enjoy her golden years.
As we prepare to celebrate Chestnut’s 20th birthday, we want to honor her incredible journey and her vibrant spirit.
