Kelsea Ballerini Postpones Shows, Tells Fans Of Illness
While her career is getting hot these days with her new stint on The Voice and headlining her first arena tour, Kelsea Ballerini had a bit of a setback last night (2/6), when, due to illness, she had to cut her show in Buffalo, New York short, and walked off stage early. She has rescheduled that show.
Kelsea has also postponed the next few shows and took her to Insta Stories to tell fans about it.
Tonight’s show (2/7) at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh and Saturday’s (2/8) planned show at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto now have new dates. The rescheduled shows will take place on April 11 (Buffalo), April 12 (Pittsburgh), and April 13 (Toronto). Tickets will be valid for the new dates.
Ballerini said on Insta Stories, dressed in a pink sweatshirt and with little makeup on, “I’m sicker than I’m trying to be tonight … I’m so sorry. I never want to give you a half-a– show. I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human. I love you.”
On Tuesday (2/4), Kelsea played a concert in Detroit that she admitted getting through at less than 100 percent. She told the crowd she was sick, and they, in turn, helped her get through the more difficult songs.

She said from the stage, “I’m also a perfectionist, and I also have this crippling fear of letting people down. So I’m going to give you absolutely every ounce of everything I have left.” She wrote on Insta Stories after, “Sending you the biggest (air) hug and going back to bed now.”
Ballerini’s next concert is on February 10 in Philadelphia, PA. Her 2025 tour began on January 21 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and continues through a March 30 show in Denver.
The country star recently discussed her “normal” relationship with her boyfriend Chase Stokes on the cover issue of Byrdie Magazine.
She told the publication in an interview, “I think it’s always an ebb and a flow…From the jump, we’ve always been really proud of our relationship… We’re really building our life together. The more into that season we get, the more protective we are.”
Kelsea added that being protective is the “go-to now and my favorite thing ever.” She says of how normal her relationship is, “I’ll go to the butcher, I’ll get a good cut of steak, I’ll come home and marinate it in the fridge—I won’t even tell him. Then it’s dinner time, and I just pull out this marinated steak, and I’m like, ‘Yes I AM that bitch.'”
