Super Delicious Super Bowl Recipes You’ll Love
The Andie Summers Show took a page out of the Food Network playbook to gear up for Super Bowl LIX. Everyone wants to be the one with the most delicious offering at a Super Bowl party. Andie and Jeff’s Super Bowl recipes will keep guests coming back for more!
The producers of The Andie Summers Show, Donnie and Shannon, challenged Andie and Jeff to a Chopped-style cook-off for the Super Bowl. We all enjoy watching the big game with friends and or family, but for some of us the best part of the game is the food we eat! It’s all about the Super Bowl recipes – that’s what makes the party.
Donnie and Shannon asked The Summers’ Squad for “mystery ingredient” suggestions that Andie and Jeff must include in their Super Bowl recipes. The answers were creative, to say the least. Here are some of the highlights that didn’t make the list:
- Pickles
- Scrapple
- Eggplant
- Pork Roll
- Artichokes
- Pumpkin
- Tuna
- Okra
- Liver
Thank God those weren’t chosen. I mean, Donnie and Shannon would have to eat the food after all, so it was smart of them to choose some creative yet delicious ingredients. Andie and Jeff had to incorporate potatoes, jalapeño peppers, and tortilla chips in their Super Bowl recipes, and they did it creatively. Check out their recipes below!

Andie Summers’ Super Pierogi Bowl
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- 1 medium Red Onion diced
- 1 Poblano pepper
- 1 bag frozen southwestern veggie mix (corn, black beans, peppers)
- 2 C Chicken Broth/Stock (use 4 Cups if making soup)
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning (I like low-sodium)
- 8 oz Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese grated
- 4 oz Monterey Jack Cheese grated
- 4 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- We had to use tortilla chips in our recipe, so I ground some up and used them to thicken the broth – but you can use cornstarch.
- Mrs. T’s Pierogis (I like the minis, but you can use whatever kind you want!)
- Heat a tablespoon of your favorite oil in a dutch oven
- Once hot, brown the ground chicken until cooked through.
- Remove chicken and put in a bowl
- Add another tablespoon of oil
- Sauté your chopped onions and pepper until tender
- Add the chicken and frozen vegetables
- Stir in Taco Seasoning until everything is coated
- Add Chicken broth
- Once the pot of yumminess is hot, stir in all the cheeses
This works great as a soup. If you’re satisfied – go with it! If you want to use it as a sauce over pierogi, you can thicken the chowder by adding a slurry of cornstarch and water. (I had to use tortilla chips in my recipe, so I made my slurry with ground tortillas and milk. And because the chips had so much salt, I didn’t have to add any to my recipe). Simmer until thickened and enjoy.
Where ever you enjoy the game, we hope you eat well and thoroughly enjoy our Super Bowl recipes!
