Blake Shelton: What’s In His Vegas Rider
Blake Shelton is currently in Las Vegas playing his first residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and wraps up his shows this weekend on February 12, 14, and 15.
Blake talked to the folks at the Colosseum on their Instagram Stories and answered some questions about his residency. Shelton offered when asked about his show rider, “The most interesting thing on my rider is Cheese Its. That’s about as interesting as I get.”
He was then asked, “What song are you most excited to perform?” He responded, “Man, I’m looking forward to singing my new song, ‘Texas.’ It’s still out there and climbing the charts, and it’s exciting for me and my band to play something that is kind of blowing up for us.”
Blake joked when asked, “What’s the first thing you’re gonna do after night one?” He said, “The first thing I’m gonna do is probably stumble into this dressing room that I’m in right now and take a nap on this couch.”

Shelton chatted with CMT recently and revealed what he called one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
In a post on CMT’s Instagram, there is a clip of Shelton and he says pointing to the tattoo on his arm of barbed wire and bear foot tracks, “You know they say that tattoos are addictive? I got this tattoo about 20 years ago and decided it was, in the moment, one of the worst mistakes of my life.”
He added, “And I said, ‘I’m never doing that again,’ and I stuck to that.”
CMT captioned the post, “@blakeshelton has tat regrets.”
As a journalist, I was at one of his first interviews on Nashville’s Music Row after he got his “mistake” tattoo. At the time, around 2005, he was quite excited about the new ink, which he noted represented to him his life as a hunter.
