Keith Urban: Las Vegas ‘Feels Right’
Fresh from not one, but two performances at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on Saturday (2/8), Keith Urban is making his return to Las Vegas to perform another five shows at the Fontainebleau beginning Friday (2/14).
The sold-out shows will run February 14, 15, 19, 21, and 22. His previous dates at the Fontainebleau took place last October.
Keith told us in an interview that something about Sin City works perfectly for him. He said, “I like it feeling like it’s a club. I like playing to a club vibe. I come from playing rowdy, sweaty clubs, where they had to hose the concrete (off) at the end of the night. That’s where I come from, so there’s a big part of what I need in my performance that has to come from that kind of a vibe.”
He continued, “So, this is not a place with a concrete floor. They’re not going to be hosing things off at the end of the night, but there’s a big standing-room-only space, which I love, and then there’s this beautiful seating area that’s super easy for everybody to see everything, and it just feels…feels right.”

Urban went on to say Vegas has always been a part of his performing life: “We’ve always done shows there. I love going to Vegas. I love the energy. I love the people. I love the vibe. Everything.”
He recalls his first shows in Las Vegas and said, “You know, one of the first shows we played was at The Hilton, when I was with my band called The Ranch, we played there. We actually opened for Hall & Oates, which was a blast.”
Keith was inducted into the Roll of Renown during the 53rd Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth, Australia a few weeks ago. This is a prestigious honor recognizing individuals who’ve made extraordinary contributions to the Australian country music industry.
In accepting this honor, Urban cited his early believers, his family, and team and showered the city of Tamworth with his appreciation while reminiscing about busking on the streets of the city with Troy Cassar-Daley. “To be in that family is mind-blowing,” he said of the honor.
Keith joined previous inductees including Slim Dusty, Kasey Chambers, Tex Morton, Buddy Williams, Chad Morgan, Smoky Dawson, John Williamson, Joy McKean, Beccy Cole, and Troy Cassar-Daley.
