Lainey Wilson tops the country music charts this week with her song “4X4 By You,” and the country superstar celebrated by playing the washboard along with studio musicians in Nashville.
Lainey posted a sweet video clip on her Instagram wearing the silver washboard, a red top, and a black designer ball cap. She said, surrounded by musicians, “4×4 By You” went number one, so we’re celebrating in the studio today. Thank you to the fans, thank you to country radio.”
Many of her three million Instagram followers reacted to the post, and many of them congratulated her on her latest success. One fan wrote, “LOVE this version.” Another fan commented, “Looks like you’re having fun. Congratulations on your engagement! Love you, pretty lady.” One more die-hard fan said, “This is so much fun!!”

Last week (2/12), Wilson and her boyfriend Devlin Hodges got engaged, and the country star shared the news on her Instagram with one of her song titles.
Lainey posted several photos of the happy couple on the front porch kissing and then showing off the ring, and then a video clip of her walking off the porch and showing the ring to a friend with a camera. She captioned the post with her song title, “4x4xU forever.”
Fans went crazy over the news, and many commented. One die-hard wrote, “Congratulations, to my absolute FAVORITE.” Another wrote, “How wonderful! Congratulations.” One more fan posted a football meme of Delvin walking on the field in his NFL Pittsburgh Steelers uniform.
With such a busy touring schedule, it will be a challenge to fit a wedding and honeymoon in this year, but Lainey does have some time in July before a date in Phoenix in August, so maybe the couple is shooting for that time for the big day.
