Laci Kaye Booth Surprised with Grand Ole Opry Debut Invitation at Parker McCollum Concert
At his Cedar Rapids concert, Parker McCollum shocked the crowd by revealing Laci Kaye Booth’s first-ever Grand Ole Opry performance. She’ll take the stage on March 29, 2025.
After spending six years making music in Nashville and landing a Top 5 spot on American Idol’s 17th season, Booth got the news she’d been waiting for. “I have waited six years in Nashville and my entire life for this opportunity,” she said while sharing the stage with McCollum at his concert.
The March show features an impressive lineup with Bill Anderson, Steve Earle, and Mark Wills joining her. Fellow musicians Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, and Mackenzie Carpenter quickly reached out with congratulations after the news broke.
Her journey has had its bumps. An early deal with Big Machine Records didn’t work out, with one album never seeing the light of day. She then moved on to Geffen Records to create “The Loneliest Girl In The World.”
The Texas native moved to Nashville after her 2019 Idol appearance. Her music mixes inspiration from George Strait’s country style to Stevie Nicks’ rock edge, with hints of Merle Haggard’s authenticity.
You can see her next at the Sand in My Boots 2025 Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on May 16, 2025.
