5 Jason Aldean Music Videos That Shine
Jason Aldean celebrates his 48th birthday today (2/28). Since he hit the country music scene in the early 2000s, Jason has checked all the boxes for country superstardom, including big album sales, number-one songs, and winning awards. He won the ACM’s coveted Entertainer of the Year award in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
In November of 2023, Aldean released his 11th studio album, dubbed Highway Desperado. He is said to be working on a new album that will be out sometime this year.
Jason said about the Highway Desperado album when it came out, “I think when I look back on it, I built my career early on my live show and have been on the road touring since I was 18 years old. For us, touring is our favorite part. Getting on the bus and going town to town and playing our shows and doing our thing and seeing the fans … the title for the tour and album was really inspired from that.”
The project marked his first album project since his double album, Macon, Georgia, which was released in 2021 and 2022.
In January, Aldean announced that he will hit the road on his “Full Throttle Tour 2025” Powered by Patriot Mobile, featuring special guests Nate Smith, RaeLynn, and Dee Jay Silver.
The tour kicks off May 23 at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and will travel North America, with stops including Toronto’s Budwesier Stage, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Denver’s Ball Arena, Grand Rapid’s Van Andel Arena, Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena, Charleston’s Credit One Stadium and more before wrapping up in West Palm Beach at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on October 4th.

As we celebrate Jason today, we gathered what we believe are his top five career music videos.
“If I Didn’t Love You” (With Carrie Underwood) – (2021)
This amazing music video, which features Carrie Underwood along with Jason, won two CMT Music Awards in 2022. It won Collaborative Video of the Year and the night’s top Video of the Year award.
Carrie told us of doing the song, “Jason asked if I would sing ‘If I Didn’t Love You’ with him. I knew I liked the song, and Jason and I have actually been trying to do things together over the years. We’ve sung together before, but we’ve never officially recorded anything together. It just kind of felt like this could be our moment.”
“The Only Way I Know” (With Luke Bryan And Eric Church) – (2012)
This performance video is the CMT Music Award for Collaborative Video of the Year. The song’s story tells of hard work, loyalty, small-town values, and Southern work ethic. The song’s narrators explain in the lyrics that they were raised in a small-town southern atmosphere and were taught to work hard to earn a living. They had not realized that other lifestyles existed and were practiced, and the one by which they grew up was “the only way I know.”
“We Back” – (2019)
Aldean said that the idea for the song came when he sent a request to Tyler Hubbard, asking for a song with “tempo” to it. He wanted a song that would serve as an upbeat, rock-driven lead single to a new album because ballads dominated his previous album, Rearview Town.
The music video is shot in black and white with epic camera angles, giving fans a fun look at the upbeat song and Jason rocking it on stage.
“Straight To Hell” With Darius Rucker, Charles Kelley & Luke Bryan – (2018)
The music video for this song is like a mini-movie. The song is from Darius’ album When Was the Last Time. It allows him and his country music buddies to play Old West Cowboys.
Rucker said that he chose to record the track because he had noticed its positive reaction when he first began his musical career and sang the song in bars. (It’s originally by alternative rock band Drivin’ N’ Cryin.) He was encouraged to record it after Kelley called, suggesting that he record the song and include Kelley on guest vocals.
“Dirt Road Anthem” – (2011)
Jason covered this Colt Ford song on his My Kinda Party album. It was nominated at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Country Solo Performance. At the 2011 CMT Music Awards, Aldean performed the song’s remix with guest rapper Ludacris, who joined Aldean onstage after the second chorus to perform his own hip-hop-style second verse.
The music video was another one shot in black and white. It showed Jason driving a Ram pickup truck through the countryside and stopping at a clearance where he reminisced about his teenage years of partying with friends around a campfire.
