Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton Duet Moving Up Country Charts
The new version of “Please Please Please” featuring pop star Sabrina Carpenter and country legend Dolly Parton has reached No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
Coming out on the deluxe edition of Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet album, the song marks her first venture into country music. For Parton, it adds to her impressive 112 appearances on the chart.
Back in June 2024, the original version reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This country version follows right after Carpenter grabbed a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The song made a big entrance, landing the second-biggest debut of the week behind Riley Green’s “Worst Way.” To make it fit country radio, they added country guitar sounds and traditional elements to the mix.
With 55 top 10 hits and 25 No. 1s on Hot Country Songs, Parton’s track record is incredible. Just months ago, she reached No. 12 with Beyoncé on their collaboration “Tyrant.”
Carpenter’s deluxe album features new versions of popular tracks. It continues Parton’s run of collaborations with newer artists, like her earlier work with Miley Cyrus and Kacey Musgraves.
This hit shows how country music keeps evolving. More pop singers are crossing over, bringing their style to Nashville.
Reaching No. 17, the song matches Parton’s recent chart success. By working with current stars, she shows she’s still got what it takes.
