We're always impressed with teachers who go above and beyond. And we love focusing on those that do! So, last week when we heard from a teacher who started The $20 Challenge. Today we learn about a teacher who is also thinking outside the box. Let us introduce you to Amber Kiley, a first year second grade teacher in the Philadelphia School District.

Ms. Kiley's Note
Hi! My name is Amber Kiley, I wanted to start by saying I love you guys and love your show and I’m always listening on my drive in. I’m reaching out because I’d really love to continue spreading my mission! I was featured on 6ABC News, Good Morning America and CBS News for my innovative way of teaching math to my kids! We tracked [Philadelphia Eagle] Saquon Barkley's rushing yards all season long and had so much to celebrate and learn through the lesson like huge life lessons. We are now gearing up to track [Philadelphia Phillie] Kyle Schwarber's home runs and how far they are hit in a fun and innovative way!

Amazing!!!! Thank you, Ms. Kiley, for finding an interesting and innovative way to teach our kids, keep them engaged, and even show some adults (like those of us on The Andie Summers Show) how math can be used in real life.
Math Lessons & Life Lessons
Ms. Kiley's lessons are not just the ones that will help us with our math problems. She also uses these lessons to teach kids about life. If Saquon Barkley has a bad day, the kids learn that even the best players screw up sometimes. No one is perfect. Life is not about your wins as much as it is about how you pick yourselves up after a fail. That's the real lesson.
