The Andie Summers Show caught Kenny Chesney at his Sphere residency, and everything about the show was amazing. (See the review here.) We spoke to Kenny back in February when he announced the residency, and he wondered aloud how he’d stay focused while a 160-thousand-square-foot LED screen exploded around him.
It turns out he handled it like a pro. The Kenny I saw at Sphere was sharper, more relaxed, and more personal than at any show I’ve caught before. That performance proved something important. It takes a special kind of artist to own that monumental space. You need a presence bigger than the room - and the room is the size of a planet. Not everyone can rise to the challenge, but I think these five (well, 6) acts can:
Zac Brown Band

Okay, it’s technically cheating as they’ve already announced a Sphere run, but ZBB was the first band that popped into my head the minute I walked into the venue. Their eclectic set lists and masterful musicianship will let Sphere’s wrap-around visuals roam everywhere from beachside campfires to Appalachian peaks.
Carrie Underwood

Carrie’s shows are already a master class in spectacle: high-wire moments, jaw-dropping visuals, and that powerhouse voice. Add her ability to glide between country, rock, and faith-inspired anthems, and she’ll have the entire venue, from casual tourists to die-hard fans, singing along.
Keith Urban

Keith’s guitar solos paint pictures on their own; now imagine them splashed across the world’s largest LED canvas. His deep catalog and charismatic energy would make Sphere feel intimate one minute and hurricane-force the next.
Lainey Wilson

Fresh off her 2025 ACM Entertainer of the Year win, Lainey is equal parts storyteller and stage-crusher. Her blend of retro flair and modern twang, paired with Sphere’s immersive tech, could turn every song into a mini-movie.
Jelly Roll

Few artists can move a crowd from tears to fist-pumps like Jelly Roll. His raw, confessional lyrics and booming voice are tailor-made for Sphere’s 3-D sound, while the venue’s visuals can bring his songs’ redemption arcs to vivid life.
Bonus Artist: Brooks & Dunn

In case you don't think ZBB should count, I'm going to go old school and throw Brooks & Dunn into the mix. Brooks & Dunn aren’t just a retro act, they’re influential. Their sound helped shape modern country, and a Sphere residency would be both a celebration and a master class in the genre’s evolution. Pairing them with immersive visuals would create a multi-generational event that’s as heartfelt as it is epic.
