We love Kane Brown Backseat Driver, one of the best songs we play on the radio station but it's singing about his adorable daughter driving with him. That got me thinking, every week I am tasked with editing the lyrics of a hit country song to sing about something else. This week, Kane Brown Backseat Driver was changed to sing about the other type of backseat driver, your spouse telling you what to do!

Here's the great original song! We love it so much.

Every single Thursday, live on The Andie Summers Show, I am tasked to create a Ten Minute Tune. So in changing the lyrics to Kane Brown Backseat Driver, I was able to have some fun singing about anyone who can relate to having a spouse that is a backseat driver! Here's my version.

Sing A Long

Getting ready this morning cause we got a big trip today

I packed the car last night about to be on our way.

We buckle up I’m driving she’s ridin’

Before we know it the car is a backin’

Up out of our driveway

Just starting our big day

That’s when I heard her say!

She said

Did you see that runner? Just stop the car.

You’re making me sick oh babe you just brake too hard.

Can you put two hands on the wheel?

I told you turn there, not on Beale.

It's crazy all the things she says when I am driving

While I am sitting beside her

I wish she wouldn’t say a word.

My passenger princess, driver’s test, backseat driver

How Did Ten Minute Tune Start?

One could argue that I have been singing these types of songs my entire life. I used to love listening to the radio in the car, changing the lyrics to my favorites songs in my head to make them sound funny. Little did I know I would make a career out of this little hobby.

I grew up a theater kid, performing at stage since I was 10 years old. So singing and performing has always been something that I've loved to do. I took piano lessons since the age of six years old and was heavily involved in choir as well. When I got to college, I was a founding member of the a cappella group, Otto Tunes, on the campus of Syracuse University!

It took us a semester to become an official student organization on campus. Here was our FIRST performance after becoming official. It’s Gavin DeGraw’s “Not Over You.”
