Hardy Brings His Country Heart to Metal Show

Hardy proves his heart is as big as his talent when he makes a service worker an amazing offer he simply can’t refuse.

Hardy is what we call a crossover artist. We know him for his country music, and amazing collaborations with folks like Morgan Wallen ("Come Back as a Redneck"), Lainey Wilson ("Wait in the Truck"), Nate Smith ("Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend"), and, most recently with Ella Langley ("Never Met Anyone Like You").

Hardy also has a heavy metal side. That is what he was planning to perform at a show in Iowa recently, but the metal-head vibes didn't stop him from bringing his country-heart and fan-love right along with him.

How It All Went Down

Hardy was set to perform at the Great Jones County Fair in Monticello, Iowa, over the weekend. A few hours before the show was set to begin, Hardy stopped by a local restaurant for some lunch. His server happened to be a young man who was a really nice guy and even asked Hardy and his band if they were going to the show that night. The Hardy show. Hilarious.

Amused, Hardy and the guys didn't let on, and the server went to help another table. The people sitting there, at the neighboring table, complimented the server on doing such a great job, and he thanked them, saying that he was having a bad day. That compliment must have come exactly when he needed it. Little did he know, his life was about to get even better.

Hardy's Heart

On his next trip to Hardy's table, Hardy revealed who he was and asked when he got off work. The guy's shift ended at 7. PERFECT! So Hardy invited him to hang out backstage with him. WHAT?!?! Obviously, he accepted. And then Hardy did one better, as part of his show, Hardy has someone walk out on stage to bring him an American Flag. That night, the server had the honor.

Thank you, Hardy, for going above and beyond.
