These are my top three things that I want to accomplish as the warmer weather comes to stay for a few months.

The past few months, we have been hit with freezing temperatures and multiple snow days. Thankfully, though, we have also gotten a taste of some warmer days. Those warmer days had me thinking of what I want my summer to look like this year. On a personal level, I have experienced major shifts in my life over the past few months. Therefore, this summer looks a little different than my most recent summers. My summer goal is to live life for me and my freedom.

Since going through some major changes in my life, I have grown closer to my friends and family. I have grown and learned a lot about myself. I have decided that I want to live life for me. Take a look at my summer goals.

Open a Book

My first goal for this summer is to read more. I love reading, specifically thrillers. I have a Kindle, which I absolutely love and am obsessed with. Unfortunately, during my semesters, it’s hard to find time to read just for fun. I have so much going on during my semesters that I am always preoccupied doing multiple things at once. I love Freida McFadden, a popular thriller author, and I know she has released a few new books lately. It kills me not to have time to read her books, so this summer I am specifically devoting time to reading.

Beach Life

My second summer goal is to go to the beach with my friends, whether it be a day trip or a couple of days. My one friend is already attempting to plan a trip to either New Jersey or Delaware. I must note that my favorite beach is Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. My second favorite is the Outer Banks in North Carolina. I didn’t go to the beach too much last summer, which was unfortunate because I love the warm, salty air. I love sitting on the beach with my Kindle in hand. I want to be able to relax, especially after finishing my junior year of college, with my friends in a fun and freeing setting.

Outdoor Living

Another thing I want to do more of this summer sounds typical, but I want to go outside more. I want to go on more walks with my dog. I have never been much of a sports person. Of course, I tried to get into sports as a kid and in high school, but it never really stuck for me. I was more interested in my academics and free time. Despite that, I do enjoy putting my AirPods in and walking around my neighborhood with my little chihuahua next to me. A fun place to check out is Saint Peter’s Village in Chester County, along French Creek. They have rocks you can climb on, hikes you can experience, and swimming opportunities.

Summer Goals

I’ll most likely find more things I want to do over this summer, and I will do my best to get to all of them. But for now, these are my top three things that I want to accomplish as the warmer weather comes to stay for a few months. I am extremely excited to finish up my semester, wear shorts every day, tan, spend more time with my friends and family, read on the beach, and explore nature with my dog.
