“How Do I Tell A Couple That Sharing A Toothbrush Is Gross?”
Diane writes:
My husband and I were out to dinner with our friends Kathy & George. They’re an amazing couple, fun, easy going, we love them.
During dinner, Kathy revealed something that shook me to my core, but said it as if it’s perfectly fine. She told us that she and her husband share a toothbrush. They have 1 toothbrush that they use between the both of them. I know I couldn’t hide my reaction because she tried to justify it by saying they swap spit all the time anyway! I can’t ever unhear that now and I’m really grossed out.
Do I just let this go and accept they are happy while living an unhygienic life? Or do I stage some type of intervention?
