Carrie Underwood’s NBC SNL Anthem By NFL Players
Members of the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers took a crack at singing Carrie Underwood’s “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” on NBC recently and their singing performance was less than stellar.
Carrie‘s rendition of NBC’s “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” has been the theme for Sunday night NFL game on NBC for 12 years, but Sunday Night Football shared the Cowboys and Steelers singing the popular song that Underwood sings so flawlessly.
SNL posted the football player’s performance to X, writng, “The Cowboys and the Steelers in a week 5 showdown! @carrieunderwood.”
Many football fans reacted to the post. One wrote, “My boys didn’t do too badly lol.” Another football fan said, “Carrie’s job is safe. Woof.” One more fan remarked, “A for effort, but no one can hold a candle to @carrieunderwood.”

Here is Carrie’s version and the opener for Sunday Night Football for 2024.
Underwood has been singing NBC’s Sunday Night Football theme for 12 years. Faith Hill welcomed football fans to the final game of every Sunday slate for six years before Carrie took the reigns.

In other Carrie news, Underwood and Cody Johnson’s new long-awaited duet “I’m Gonna Love You” is out.
The two stars took some time to talk about the first time they met, which was at a CMA Awards show.
In a video clip, Cody and Carrie are talking, and Underwood says, “So I think the first time we met was at an award show, and there’s always so much going on at those things, and everybody’s just coming and going. But I remember leaving that night just saying I really like that guy and I hope I watch him do great things.”
Cody added, “You know we’re around the same age, but I always grew up listening to your music, and I wondered what it would be like to be in that position. They say don’t meet your heroes because you might get disappointed. I was not disappointed. It’s really was a breath of fresh air to meet someone that has not been affected and really stayed grounded, and when I told my kids, my little girls, that I met Carrie Underwood, they forgot all about Cody Johnson.”
Cody posted the exchange on his Instagram writing, “A collab between us has been in the works for a long time. “I’m Gonna Love You” releases! Stay tuned, #COJONation and #CareBears.”
