Lainey Wilson’s Big Thanksgiving Plans
Lainey Wilson had some new and exciting news that she shared on her Instagram with fans. According to the news, she’s going to be quite busy on Thanksgiving Day. Lainey posted a video of her dancing with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
She said in the video, “Lainey Wilson here, training to be a Cowboys cheerleader for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Show. You might know me for my bellbottoms, but I want to be known for my bell ringing too.”
She continued, “I’m so excited to announce that I have teamed up with the Salvation Army to love beyond the holidays and make a difference in our communities all year around. Tune in to watch me and a special guest this Thanksgiving on Fox. We’re gonna kick off the giving season right.” Wilson asks a cheerleader next to her, “Am I the first person to do this in bellbottoms?” The cheerleader says, “I think you are.”
The country superstar captioned the clip, “The secret’s out! The iconic @laineywilson and a special guest will ring in The Salvation Army’s famous #RedKettleKickoff at the Dallas Cowboys halftime show this Thanksgiving on Fox. Are you ready for this “Whirlwind” of a night?”

Since Wilson came onto the scene in Nashville and became a country music superstar, you see a lot of little girls running around in bellbottoms and cowboy hats emulating her distinctive style.
As Lainey told us recently, she sees all the little girls and takes her role in their lives very seriously. She offered, “I will tell you it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, first of all, but I do feel a big responsibility. I feel like all right. I’ve got a lot of little people watching me, so I think even just from an award show, I realize that sometimes what you say is almost as important as what you sing.”
She knows what she says makes a difference, “You know, I want to say something that means something. I know that whatever I say, they’re probably going home and doing the same things.”
She concluded, “I’m not perfect by any means. I’m human just like everybody else, but I feel the responsibility, and I’m gonna do my best to try to be able to lay my head down at night and be proud of who I am and what I’ve done.”
