Tim McGraw: His Convincing Halloween Costume
Tim McGraw’s three daughters are all grown and out of the house now, but when they were younger, Tim says they would all dress up and participate in Halloween festivities. And since he has spent some time in Hollywood, his costumes were sometimes really awesome, because he was able to call in a few favors from the costume departments that he worked with.
He recently told us, “We did a few things when the kids were growin’ up. I was Captain Jack [Sparrow, from Pirates of the Carribean] one year, and I had a friend of mine from L.A., who does costuming for movies, sent me a whole Captain Jack get up.”
Big celebrities like him often talk about how exciting it is around Halloween because they get to go disguised, and no one recognizes them, so they can walk around freely, have fun with their kids trick-or-treating, and avoid autograph seekers to spend quality uninterrupted time with their family.

McGraw recently released his new song, “People Like Us.” The track and its accompanying lyric video are available now on all streaming platforms.
The track features Tim’s signature storytelling and celebrates the differences that connect us, highlighting the importance of coming together for the better. “People Like Us” is a song meant to remind fans that “we’re all in this together” and walk on a common ground.
McGraw recently posted to Instagram, “Today, I’m releasing a new song called “People Like Us.” It’s a celebration of our shared journey through life. We all have unique paths, but at our core, we’re connected by the same hopes, dreams, and challenges that make us human. For me, this song is about seeing ourselves in others – recognizing our common experiences of joy, pain, triumph, and struggle.”
He continued, “My hope is that when you listen, you’ll feel that connection and be reminded of the beauty in our shared humanity. Music has a way of touching our hearts and bringing us together. Let’s keep lifting each other up and moving forward as one human family.”
The song’s chorus lyrics are: “People like us / We’re a preacher with a dream / Put a man on the moon / We can do anything / Yeah people like us / We’re all God’s children / If we’re willing we can be building a tomorrow we can trust / But it’s up to people like us. I believe in / People like us.”
